Samsung entering and focusing on the DSLR camera market with a new lens.

Global technology giant Samsung electronics will be introducing a new interchangeable lens 'Hybrid' digital DSLR camera system during the spring of 2010. It is a move aimed at propelling the Korean company to the top of worlds digital SLR camera sales.

Samsung has admitted that competing with Canon and Nikon in the DSLR market will be extremely challenging, and they have mentioned that all other camera manufacturers are finding it difficult to make an impression. A review of the Samsung rollout shows that they continues to be in the early stages of its DSLR rollout and project and in this field we have quite a long way to go to gain and maintain good market share. With this new hybrid system we will create a new digital camera segment which we feel we will be able to dominate.'

The Samsung 'Hybrid' system will run alongside the current Samsung GX DSLR series.
