Reviews Show UK DSLR Camera Sales Are Strong

Market research firm GfK Retail and Technology reported in May 2008 that based upon reviews of first quarter retail sales numbers, DSLR camera sales in the United Kingdom remain very strong

The firm has stated and reported that digital camera sales volume in the first quarter of 2008 was up 13 percent year over year, with a corresponding 7 percent increase in value. According to the research, DSLR sales accounted for the majority of this percentage value increase.

Mirroring the trends predicted and observed by market statisticians in the United States, the DSLR market share in the United Kingdom has continued to increase steadily. This growth trend has continued to occur in spite of general conditions in the DSLR market that would be expected to slow sales: namely a slowing economy.
